Ahh... Robert Frost. If you’re in North
America, then Fall is setting in, and it’s
time for the pumpkin craze and cranberry jellies. It’s also time
to find out who were the finalists in the Summer Story Contest!
In this 2016 Fall Bulletin, enjoy the entries from the top four
finalists. The contest required that students take a novel
they’re reading in their high school year, and craft a story
around one of the characters, either in the original time or in a
modern setting.
The judges were very pleased to see some fine entries, and
some very clever story telling. If you enjoy them, check out
the online versions of each piece on this issue and leave a
comment for the author!
We also have the winners of our first Art Challenge, where
students were invited to create a piece of art around the
Scriptural theme of Elijah being charioted into Heaven on
winds of flame.
Again, we were impressed at some of the artistic maturity, and
stylistic creativity that students provided.
This month we showcase two Seton students, and we bring you
an article from our College Partner Program debunking the 5
myths surrounding college majors. Speaking of debunking, Bob
Wiesner, Seton Counselor and Contest Judge, reminds us all of
our ongoing need to keep our hearts and minds on the truth.
